The Osun State University Alumni Association (OSUAA), in partnership with Jobberman, is set to hold its 2026 Alumni Induction and Orientation Programme, aimed at equipping alumni and graduates with career opportunities, professional skills and knowledge needed to make meaningful contributions to society.

The programme, themed “Beyond the Degree: Positioning for Careers, Opportunities and Impact,” is scheduled to take place on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Olagunsoye Oyinlola Auditorium, Osun State University, Osogbo, by 10:00 a.m.

The initiative, according to the programme organisers, is designed to move beyond academic qualifications by exposing participants to practical career development, financial excellence and opportunities across diverse industries.

The event will be hosted by the Global President of OSUAA, Abubakar Abdulbasit Olalekan, while the Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, will serve as the Chief Host.

The programme is expected to bring together alumni, young graduates and professionals for discussions on career advancement, industry relevance and the opportunities available in today’s competitive job market.

One of the featured panellists, Abdulwahab Gbadamosi, is a Chartered Accountant and Manager at a Big Four accounting firm, where he works in financial compliance, payroll and accounting advisory.

Gbadamosi, who holds both a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Accounting from Osun State University, is also an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, West Africa.

According to his profile, he has worked in tax operations at UBA Group and has experience in corporate tax planning, tax advisory, tax audits and financial reporting.

He currently serves as Global Treasurer of OSUAA, having previously held the position of National Financial Director within the association.

His participation is expected to bring practical insight into financial management, accounting and professional development.

The programme also seeks to strengthen the relationship between the university and its alumni by creating a platform for networking, mentorship and the exchange of professional experiences.

Speaking on the purpose of the initiative, the OSUAA Global President, Abubakar Abdulbasit Olalekan, said the association remained focused on building a network of purposeful and progressive alumni who would continue to contribute to the development of their alma mater and the nation.

He described the programme as an opportunity to connect, empower and position alumni and students for greater opportunities.

Olalekan further emphasised the need for collective efforts in building a stronger Osun State University community that would drive excellence beyond the campus.

The partnership with Jobberman is expected to add a career-oriented dimension to the programme, particularly in helping participants understand the changing demands of the employment market and how to position themselves for professional success.

The event is scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026.
