Layonu Idowu, popularly known as Dagbana Doctor, has emerged as the President-elect of the Osun State University Students’ Union (OSUSU) following the conclusion of the 2026 students’ union election.
The election results, officially declared by the electoral committee, also returned Azeez Kehinde Huzzain as Vice President, while Adeyole Taiwo Adewale was elected General Secretary.
Others elected are Adesanmi Tijesunmi (Teejay) as Assistant General Secretary, Badru Ayomide Abdullah as Financial Secretary, Olodogbo Basirat Folashade as Auditor General, and Balogun Precious Ayomide as Public Relations Officer.
Also elected were Oyediran Adedamola Austin as Director of Welfare, Ajao Joseph Bolaji (Beejay) as Director of Sports, and Oluwadare Favour Oluwanifemi as Director of Social and Culture.
The declaration of the results brings the 2026 OSUSU election to a close, paving the way for the inauguration of the newly elected executives, who will oversee the affairs of the students’ union for the 2026/2027 academic session.
