Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has launched an online transcript application portal, allowing graduates to request their official academic transcripts from anywhere in Nigeria and across the world without visiting the University’s main campus in Osogbo.
The portal enables alumni to apply for their official academic transcripts, which contain a record of courses completed, grades obtained, and the degree or qualification awarded by the University. The document is often required by graduates seeking admission into higher institutions, particularly for studies abroad, professional applications, employment, and other official verification purposes. The platform also serves as a means of authenticating academic credentials issued by the University.
With the introduction of the digital platform, graduates can now complete transcript requests remotely, a development expected to reduce the time, cost, and stress previously associated with the process while improving access to essential academic services.
Reacting to the development, the Osun State University Alumni Association described the online transcript portal as a significant milestone that addresses one of the long-standing concerns of graduates.
In a statement, the Association commended the University Management for embracing technology to improve service delivery, noting that the initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to innovation and responsiveness to the needs of its alumni.
The Association added that the development represents the outcome of sustained advocacy and constructive engagement and expressed optimism that it would pave the way for further innovations aimed at strengthening the relationship between the University and its graduates.
