What Students Need to Know

1. Fees differ by programme and academic level

The schedule assigns different amounts to each programme category and student level. Students should therefore identify their programme and the appropriate academic-level column before relying on any figure.

2. Acceptance fee is listed separately

The schedule lists an acceptance fee of ₦65,000 for 100 Level and Direct Entry students under “Other Optional Charges.” The same section lists a university service charge of ₦2,000 and Student Union dues of ₦5,000, bringing the listed total for this category to ₦72,000.

3. Other listed optional charges total ₦7,000

For 200 Level and 300 Level Direct Entry students, returning students and final-year students, the schedule lists ₦2,000 for the university service charge and ₦5,000 for Student Union dues, totalling ₦7,000 under “Other Optional Charges.”

4. NELFUND does not cover the listed optional charges

The university explicitly states that “Other Optional Charges” are not to be paid for by NELFUND. This note appears on the published schedule and is separate from the main fee breakdown.

5. Some other charges are listed as zero

Items such as change of course, charges for transferred students, late registration, proficiency in English, Parents Management Forum, convocation and result verification are listed at ₦0 in the optional-charges section.

6. The full breakdown is available by programme

The university’s webpage provides separate sections for Medicine, Nursing, Law, Medical Laboratory Science and Radiography, Other Health Sciences, Sciences, Computing and Engineering-related programmes, Tourism, Arts and Humanities, Management and Social Sciences, Agriculture and Renewable Resources, and Education.

Students can select the relevant programme category to view the detailed breakdown rather than relying solely on the headline totals.
