UNIOSUN Alumni Association Donates Money to Accident Victim

The alumni members of Osun State University has donated money to a member of the association who was involved in an accident. This was curtailed in a statement released by the Public Relations Officer of the Alumni Association; Faleyimu Oluwasegun (Mighty).

The statement reads in part as obtained by Olofofo Uniosun:

“Members of Osun state University Alumni Association have swiftly donated money to cater for the medical expenses of one of its members Dr. Alaje Ismail who unfortunately was a victim of a car accident.

The National Executive Council of the Association under the leadership of Comr. Abdulbasit Olalekan Abubakar had earlier authorized an immediate donation for the brilliant Uniosun lecturer who is also a proud Alumnus of the University.

Thanks to the distinguished Members of the Association who generously donated to the tune of 1.8million naira to save the life of the vibrant lecturer who is also very admired within the University Community for his humility, kind heart and hardworking spirit.

The National President while presenting a Wheelchair and Crouches to Dr. Alaje Ismail also announced that the total of N1, 624,219, 98 has been transferred to his account on behalf of the members of the Association. The National President therefore prayed for the quick recovery of Dr Alaje and also extended the prayers of the entire members of the Association to him

Comr. Abdulbasit Olalekan Abubakar while addressing members of the Association present, stressed that “the need for members to be active participants in the Association remains paramount, they are expected to be registered branch members of the Association and also an up-to-date financial member of the association, as all these will be what guarantees the swift intervention of the Association in issues that critically affects the members”

Present also during the visit to the victim at the Uniosun Teaching Hospital includes: the Association’s Vice President, Mr Akinlade Boluwatife, other National Executives, the immediate Past President of the Association, Alhaji Oriola Kabir (Oriz) and Mr Ajitech.”
